Overview

Vanish is a local-only browser utility for hiding Google AI Overviews and user-selected webpage elements. It is designed to work without accounts, analytics, cloud sync or external servers.

Data Stored Locally

• ✓ User-created CSS selectors for hidden elements
• ✓ The hostname where each rule applies
• ✓ A short local label for the hidden element
• ✓ Per-site settings such as enabled, paused and Google AI cleaner toggle

Data Not Collected

• ✗ No browsing history
• ✗ No page contents
• ✗ No personal information
• ✗ No analytics events
• ✗ No account data
• ✗ No payment data

Network Access

Vanish does not send data to external servers. Hidden-element rules and settings stay in browser local storage.

Permissions Explained

Data Deletion

You can delete Vanish data by removing saved rules inside the extension or by uninstalling the extension. You can also clear extension data through Chrome extension settings.
